Ohio, I could literally feel God carrying me in that run. It felt effortless. That's when you know it's the power of God carrying you through, when something that takes so much effort feels effortless. I can't wait until Boston. I can't wait to take this journey with him. It's going to be awesome!
Wonderful run today six miles at a 7:26 pace. Felt easy, felt great. I am so excited for Boston! I'm so excited for God has totally blessed my training and health. What a beautiful day to run! It's 69 degrees, sunny and just a slight breeze. I completed seven miles at a 7:29 pace and then went to the gym for strength training. It's my last official strength training session before Boston. I felt great today and injury free. Nine days until race day! I'm so excited, so ready to take the long run for Christ. I cannot believe it's Thursday, April 4. We literally leave in one week for Boston! I can't believe it's actually here! Today was a great run. I started with a 1.5 mile warmup, followed by a four mile hill run. I ran up and down Ashland Avenue seven times, which equaled four miles. Then I did a one mile cool down. I have been saved since I was a little child but never really "walked the walk" or even tried until this past year. That's when God really started convicting me about being a "closet" Christian. Sure I would go to church on Sundays and Wednesdays but Monday through Saturday I lived just like the rest of the world. No one could tell I was a Christian. Last July I told God, "Lord, I'm done living two lives. I want to live for you and you alone." Since then I have had so much peace, so much joy and I can just see God moving in my life.

The creator, the sustainer of life, he is the one giving me the power, the strength. To him be the glory! I praise God that he is able to do immeasurably more than we can do or imagine. With all the nervous energy in me all I wanted to do is go run today. I ran eight miles at a nice 7:29 pace. There were some hills incorporated in that pace and it felt great. I spent the first 40 minute of my run in prayer, going through my daily run prayer list. The last 20 minutes I focused on proper running form. Proper form uphill, downhill and on flat surface, staying relaxed, keeping my head up! People who don't run marathons don't understand the preparation that it entails. You don't just get up and run 26.2 miles. Everything matters your form, your fluid intake, your nutritional intake the week before, the day before, that day, your pace, your rest the week before and day before, everything you do must be taken into consideration.
